THE IDEA UNITING HIGHLY CONSCIOUS PEOPLE.

The Human Cosmos philosophy of multidisciplinary development comprises several components and directions, one of the most important of which is the visionary super-concept of an orbital city.

The space city is an ambitious goal and project which can unite people striving for progress around it. The final goal behind the development and design of such a city is not the mass resettlement of people to space, but rather the creation of a community of people interested in developing their personal microcosm and exploring the macrocosm. These are people who are interested in science, who take care of their health, who are worried about the future of our planet and are working to protect the environment. To unite around something requires creating something, starting something. That’s what propelled me several years ago to start developing the first orbital city Ether.

Designing and developing a project of this kind was admittedly challenging. No one has ever built cities that aren’t attached to the planet — foundations are usually built in the ground. But I set myself the goal of creating the first prototype for a human settlement in space, and gathered a team around me to begin work on the project.

The Ether project underwent several reconfigurations. At first, it was a ring-shaped multilevel construction. The inside of the buildings was built of solid but lightweight and simple materials. The city’s spaces were functional and convenient. The green zones and residential areas were blended, the buildings consisted of several tiers connected by elevators. There are no private vehicles in the city. You can get to any point in Ether either on foot, by escalator, elevator or robot-driven taxi. Every room is filled with light as they are equipped with window panels maximizing the amount of Space seen from within, as well as UV filters to protect people’s eyes and skin.

Additional oxygen is provided by the many green zones and trees that are perpetually in bloom. Fruits and vegetables are grown in greenhouses and gardens; medicines are produced in local pharmaceutical labs. The space immigrants don’t consume meat, so no animals are raised for slaughter.

Every inhabitant of Ether finds their life purpose and works for pleasure. They find their vocation, thereby contributing to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

Then the project underwent a transformation.
